\nI believe there are certain films that resonate with your personal beliefs in a sincere and fearless manner. When a compelling script like this comes my way, I feel lucky to be involved with such themes. I\u2019ve encountered similar opportunities twice before, but this one is distinctly different. It offers a new perspective and highlights a struggle that has persisted for many years. The first time I came across the name Shah Bano was when her story was making headlines. I vividly recall the haunting gaze in her headshot, it had such depth. Even as a teenager, I sensed something unique and powerful about that image. My understanding at the time was limited to what any average person would know from reading the newspaper. The idea of women\u2019s empowerment wasn\u2019t openly discussed, so it required tremendous courage for a woman to take such a stand.<\/p>\n
\nBefore every take, I would visualise that image of Shah Bano. It reminded me that I wasn\u2019t representing just one woman, but many women who have fought for dignity and justice. That thought stayed with me throughout the process and helped me connect with the responsibility of portraying her story.<\/p>\n
\nThis is a role that any actor would dream of. There is so much depth to her story, and what made it special for me was the opportunity to portray a woman who took a stand at a time when conversations around women\u2019s empowerment were not as openly discussed. Her courage made the role incredibly meaningful.<\/p>\n
\nI\u2019m extremely excited for Haq to reach an even wider audience through &Pictures on xx at xx PM. This is a story that deserves to be seen and discussed, and I\u2019m happy that viewers who may not have experienced it in theatres will now get an opportunity to watch it from the comfort of their homes. I hope the film resonates with audiences and stays with them even after the credits roll.<\/p>\n
