CHENNAI \u2014 Art enthusiasts and collectors gathered in Mylapore today as the third edition of Contemporary Now officially launched with an exclusive morning program titled “Breakfast at Ashvita’s.”<\/p>\n
Running from August 8 to August 25, 2026, this edition brings together prominent art galleries, cultural partners, and featured artists across two primary locations in Chennai: Ashvita\u2019s Campus and Ashvita\u2019s Flagship.<\/p>\n
A Packed Opening Morning
\nThe multi-event morning schedule gave attendees an immersive experience combining community engagement, rare archival insights, and cutting-edge contemporary artwork:
\nMorning Gathering (9:00 AM \u2013 10:00 AM): The festival commenced with a social breakfast session, welcoming guests for a morning centered around immersive art.<\/p>\n
Sculpture Preview (10:00 AM): Artist C. Krishnaswamy unveiled a preview of his compelling new sculpture collection, titled Continuiverse.
\nArchival Open House (10:00 AM \u2013 11:00 AM): Guests explored the Ashvita\u2019s Archival and Conservation Center warehouse at the Ashvita’s Campus (4, Second Street, Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai, Mylapore).
\nArtist Presentation (11:00 AM \u2013 12:00 PM): The morning concluded at Ashvita\u2019s Flagship (2nd Floor, 39, Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai, Ozone Premia, Mylapore) with a presentation by artist Benitha Perciyal K. titled “How Long Will We Live? Or When Will We Die?”<\/p>\n
