Interacting with the veterans during the Campaign, Secretary (Ex-servicemen Welfare) Dr Niten Chandra reaffirmed the government\u2019s commitment to further\u00a0strengthen\u00a0the\u00a0welfare measures\u00a0for them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Seeking feedback and insights into the challenges veterans come across while availing various welfare schemes of the Department, Dr. Niten Chandra directed Rajya &amp; Zila Sainik Boards, ECHS and other agencies under the department to set-up proactive communication and collaboration mechanism in finding solutions to the problems of ex-servicemen. He reiterated the government\u2019s unwavering support for the veteran community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The \u2018Samadhan Campaign\u2019 is an initiative by the Department to honor the sacrifices made by ex-servicemen and their families, by proactively engaging with them and addressing their grievances related to the department\u2019s various welfare schemes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Through proactive engagement and meaningful dialogue, the campaign seeks to create a conducive environment for ex-servicemen to thrive and contribute to society positively.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the campaign, DG Resettlement Maj Gen SBK Singh explained about various programmes available for the resettlement of ex-servicemen. He also called upon veterans to engage in the entrepreneurship avenues available for them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A large number of veterans from Darjeeling, and adjoining\u00a0districts of West Bengal and Bihar\u00a0came to attend the Samadhan Campaign and their\u00a0grievances related to SPARSH\u00a0pension,\u00a0healthcare among others\u00a0were addressed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/pic(4)(2)7LSC.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/pic(2)(2)HJEK.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Ex-servicemen Welfare organised \u2018Samadhan Campaign\u2019, its outreach programme at Bengdubi Army Camp, in Darjeeling, West Bengal.
