Hyderabad, 6th August 2025<\/strong>:\u00a0In a bold move, India\u2019s top para-cyclists, led by international medalist\u00a0Aryavardhan Cheelampalli<\/strong>, have filed a\u00a0writ petition<\/strong>\u00a0in the\u00a0Delhi High Court<\/strong>\u00a0against the\u00a0Cycling Federation of India<\/strong>\u00a0(CFI) for discrimination, negligence, and blatant favoritism.<\/p>\n

\n

Despite qualifying performances, Aryavardhan was denied a World Championship slot, putting his Asian and Commonwealth Games chances in jeopardy.<\/p>\n

\n

Key issues raised include<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\n

* Refusal to bid for 2026 Paracycling World Cup<\/p>\n

* Eight lost medals due to admin delays in athlete classification<\/p>\n

* Nepotism\u2014officials sending their own children without trials<\/p>\n

* Suppression of paracyclists achievements on official platforms<\/p>\n

* Verbal admissions of guilt, but no written accountability<\/p>\n

When approached, even SAI shockingly directed the complaint back to the accused official.<\/p>\n

We want justice not just for us, but for the future of para-sports in India, said\u00a0Aryavardhan Cheelampalli.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Petitioners demand government intervention, an independent probe into CFI, and a clean-up of corrupt practices in Indian para-sport governance.<\/p>\n
