{"id":21470,"date":"2024-10-13T19:55:41","date_gmt":"2024-10-13T14:25:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/matribhumisamachar.com\/en\/?p=21470"},"modified":"2024-10-13T19:55:41","modified_gmt":"2024-10-13T14:25:41","slug":"launch-of-lsam-12-yard-80","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.matribhumisamachar.com\/en\/2024\/10\/13\/launch-of-lsam-12-yard-80\/","title":{"rendered":"LAUNCH OF LSAM 12 (YARD 80)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The launch of \u2018Missile Cum Ammunition Barge, LSAM 12 (Yard 80)\u2019, the\u00a0<strong>Sixth Barge of 08 x Missile Cum Ammunition Barge project, built by MSME Shipyard, M\/s SECON Engineering Projects Pvt Ltd (SEPPL),<\/strong>\u00a0Visakhapatnam for Indian Navy, was undertaken on\u00a0<strong>10 Oct 24<\/strong>\u00a0at M\/s Vinayaga Marine Petro Ltd, Mira Bhayandar, Maharashtra (launch site of M\/s SECON Engineering Projects Pvt Ltd). The launching Ceremony was presided over by Cmde MV Raj Krishna, CoY(Mbi).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The contract for building 08 x Missile Cum Ammunition Barge was signed between MoD and M\/s SECON Engineering Projects Pvt Ltd, Visakhapatnam on 19 Feb 21. The availability of these Barges would provide impetus to operational commitments of\u00a0<strong><em>IN<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0by facilitating\u00a0<strong>Transportation, Embarkation and Disembarkation of articles\/ ammunition<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0<strong><em>IN<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0platforms both alongside jetties and at outer harbours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These Barges are\u00a0<strong>indigenously<\/strong>\u00a0designed and built under relevant Naval Rules and Regulation of Indian Register of Shipping. The model testing of the Barge during design stage were undertaken at Naval Science and Technological Laboratory, Visakhapatnam.
