The Indian delegation was led by\u00a0Defence Secretary\u00a0Shri Giridhar\u00a0Aramane, while the Maldivian delegation was headed by\u00a0Chief of Defence\u00a0Force, Maldives National Defence Force\u00a0General lbrahim Hilmy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting provided\u00a0both sides\u00a0with an\u00a0opportunity to discuss the matters related to bilateral defence cooperation. This,\u00a0inter alia, included expediting the implementation of various ongoing defence\u00a0cooperation projects.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The two sides also deliberated on few other areas of common interest such as\u00a0high-level exchanges and capability development projects. The aspects of\u00a0participation in forthcoming bilateral military exercise were also discussed.
